2 New Artists Announced for Music for Hacking

Happy to announce that we have added two more artists to our Music for Hackers compilation. Joining an already far-reaching international collective, we have added Denmark's John R Mirland, who will be adding a mature, darksynth/EBM vibe via his alterego M73.

Joining M73 is Tokyo-based cyberpunk/dark techno darling Cominous, fresh off his debut LP release in August called Documentary.

You can get a preview of Music for Hacking. Neon Tuesday's Rhythm of the Night remix is free to stream right now.

We're Now on MySpace (Kinda)

I mean, we're all about retro internet.  Who doesn't love sitting around for 8 minutes while a .gif of a Ferarri downloads from Prodigy over your 56k modem?  And of course, right when it's about to finish downloading, your mom tries to make a call, interrupting your handshake, and knocking you offline.

How many times did you yell, "MOM!  I'M ON THE COMPUTER!" when you were a kid?  I know for me, that number is infinite.

Anyway, that's besides the point. In my effort to really push a retro late 90's/early 00's aesthetic, I created a profile on SpaceHey (which is a long awaited passion project that puts MySpace back on the internet, in it's original, glorious blue/white/tan 1.0 form.

You can send us a friend request by visiting our profile at: https://spacehey.com/profile?id=1498379. I will be picking a new layout.  Half the fun of MySpace was noodling with your layout until you totally broke your profile, then trying to figure out how to walk it back.

I'm also working on some other music/label-related projects, so stay tuned.

I love you.

Welcome to Info Sec Records

Welcome to Info Sec Records. We are a cyberpunk/chiptune/darksynth/etc netlabel. Info Sec is all about bringing you the music we thought 2022 would sound like back in 1998.  Late 90's cyberpunk promised us a very black boot, tight vinyl and dark oontz. But the synthpop & ebm future we had hoped for was replaced with...trash.

But, thankfully, there are standard bearers out there carrying the flag of future music. And that's who we're here for.  Our goal is to release music for an alternate future where humanity modeled itself after The Matrix, rather than Idocracy.
